Letter from the President
Dear Friends,
Welcome to Miami Civic Music Association’s 79th season! We continue to serve the community with wonderful performances at affordable prices. This year, in addition to our established board, we have initiated a new group of enthusiastic and devoted board members who will help maintain our organization for years to come. All our board members are volunteers who work to make our community a better and more enjoyable place to live.
In our 2011-2012 series, Civic brings you a concert season filled with fresh and accomplished artists. In collaboration with Festival Miami, we open our series with pianists Shelly Berg and Santiago Rodriguez performing Gershwin favorites. We are also delighted to feature several exciting chamber groups, including the Toomai String Quintet, the Old City String Quartet and Prima Trio. Violin virtuosos David Lisker and Bela Horvath will perform in collaboration with Frost School of Music’s YinJia Lin. The finale features acclaimed soprano Eglise Gutierrez with pianist Elaine Rinaldi, the Artistic Director of Orchestra Miami. We hope you continue being a part of the legendary Miami Civic Music Association, and please bring your friends and family to these outstanding events. We look forward to sharing our upcoming concerts with you!
